  • FOSBO (1997)
The FOSBO (Fondation Suisse de Bons Offices) was founded in April 1996, with the goal to “offer its good offices to promote peaceful settlement of disputes and prevent the use of force in conflicts”. Peace can be made by nobody except by those who are in conflict. Institute projects address the full range of peace enhancing activities, from preventive action to post-conflict reconciliation and peace building. For 75 years people from all parts of the world have benefited from Institute training and education efforts. The Institute is headquartered in Washington, D.C. and has affiliate offices in Southeastern Europe, Cyprus, and the Middle East.
  • Political Parties
Political parties in both the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot communities have an important role to play in the efforts for finding a solution for the Cyprus problem. In this section we present their philosophy, views, initiatives as well as their impact on the bicommunal movement and Peace-building efforts in Cyprus.
  • PRIO - International Peace Research Institute, Oslo.
Welcome to the International Peace Research Institute, Oslo. Founded in 1959, PRIO was one of the first centres of peace research in the world. We are Norway's only peace research centre. The foundation of the institute and its early influence were instrumental in promulgating the idea of peace research. PRIO is an independent, international institute in staff, audience and perspective.
  • The Cyprus Fulbright Commission
The Commission for Educational Exchange between the United States of America and Cyprus (Cyprus Fulbright Commission), which administers the Fulbright Program in Cyprus, operates under the authority of the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act of 1961, Public Law 87-256 and the Executive Agreement between the two countries signed on January 18, 1962.
