Fourty Non Governmental Organizations in Cyprus (some of them bicommunal) have formed a platform to jointly support a solution now! A message of support has been sent to the Turkish Cypriots to be read during their demonstration for Peace on the 26th of December.

Fourty Non Governmental Organizations in Cyprus (some of them bicommunal) have formed a platform to jointly support a solution now! A message of support has been sent to the Turkish Cypriots to be read during their demonstration for Peace on the 26th of December.
As representatives of the Turkish Cypriot Think Tank stressed during a bicommunal meeting on Saturday 21 December, "the future of our homeland will be in danger if we don't manage to terminate its division by February 28, taking advantage of the truly historical opportunity". We support this view and feel that our side needs to move a lot more enthusiastically and determined towards the re-unification of our country.
The Technology For Peace Office has assumed the responsibility to coordinate those interested to join the great wave. Until now, forty Non Governmental Organizations (some of them bicommunal) have formed a platform to jointly support "solution now"!

Message of Support To Our Turkish Cypriot Compatriots
We express our support and solidarity to all the strong mobilizations undertaken by our Turkish Cypriot compatriots in favor of seeking a peaceful solution of the Cyprus problem and towards constructing a common homeland.
The decision for the admission of Cyprus in the European Union is a monumental achievement for both the Greek Cypriots and the Turkish Cypriot and can reinforce all the efforts towards seeking a peaceful, commonly accepted and functional settlement that respects the human rights and interests of both communities.
We support the commitment of both communities to work towards reaching a solution in the context of the Copenhagen Conclusion of the European Council.
We support every measure that will support the communication, cooperation and the restoration of trust between the two communities of Cyprus.
We call on all groupings of Civil Society to activate for the realization of the common vision for a united, federal, democratic and prosperous Cyprus.
Μήνυμα Συμπαράστασης Προς τους Τουρκοκύπριους Συμπατριώτες Μας
Εκφράζουμε την υποστήριξη και αλληλεγγύη μας στις ρωμαλέες κινητοποιήσεις των τουρκοκύπριων συμπατριωτών μας υπέρ της αναζήτησης ειρηνικής λύσης στο Κυπριακό πρόβλημα και της οικοδόμησης μιας κοινής πατρίδας, μέσα στην Ευρωπαϊκή οικογένεια.
Η απόφαση για ένταξη της Κύπρου στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση είναι μια μεγάλη κατάκτηση, που ανήκει τόσο στους Ελληνοκύπριους όσο και στους Τουρκοκύπριους και που μπορεί να ενισχύσει τη δυναμική αναζήτησης μιας ειρηνικής, αμοιβαία αποδεκτής και λειτουργικής λύσης με σεβασμό των ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων και των συμφερόντων και των δύο κοινοτήτων.
Υποστηρίζουμε τη δέσμευση των δύο κοινοτήτων να εργαστούν για την αναζήτηση λύσης, όπως προνοούν και τα Συμπεράσματα του Ευρωπαϊκού Συμβουλίου της Κοπεγχάγης
Υποστηρίζουμε κάθε μέτρο που θα ενισχύσει την επικοινωνία, τη συνεργασία και αποκατάσταση της εμπιστοσύνης μεταξύ των δύο κοινοτήτων
Καλούμε την κοινωνία των πολιτών να ενεργοποιηθεί για την πραγμάτωση του κοινού οράματος για μια Κύπρο Ενωμένη, Ομόσπονδη, Δημοκρατική και Ευημερεύουσα.
